Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention Program:
This program provides lead poisoning surveillance and prevention activities throughout the
county, with an intensified effort in high-risk census tracts.
Lead Based Paint Hazard Control:
Through this program, Marion County Health Department (MCHD) in collaboration with Indianapolis Healthy homes Network (IHHN)
works to reduce the hazards posed by lead-based paint in Indianapolis' older rental housing stock and to prevent childhood lead poisoning.

Healthy Start Program:
This program provides services to reduce infant mortality rates and improve perinatal
outcomes by eliminating disparities in perinatal health systems.
Preconception and Interconception Care:
This program addresses lack of preconception and interconception care in Marion County by developing
local protocols to address this issue.
