MINIMUM STARTING PAY: $22.97 Clinical Services Coordinator - Adolescent Health This individual is responsible for all clinical operations at the ACTION Health Center. Supervises nursing and technical staff, including those in school-based setting, i.e., Registered Nurses, Clinical Technicians; assists in overseeing Nurse Practitioners' school-based clinic functions; serves as liaison between Medical Director and ACTION Health Center/school-based staff; assists in formulating guidelines and protocols. Secondary responsibility to include providing specialized professional nursing services, which include medical treatment and primary care to patients under the supervision of and in collaboration with designated physicians and in collaboration with the healthcare team. Ensures the continuity of patient care through health maintenance activities including the evaluation, early detection, management of health-related problems; makes appropriate referrals. MINIMUM STARTING PAY: $10.60 Clinical Technician - John Marshall The person in this position is responsible for acting as a liaison between the patient and the physicians to prepare the patient for his/her visit. Performs clinical laboratory procedures at either the School Based Clinics or the Action Center. Provides a hard copy (chart) for patient care. Collects data for registration and intake purposes. May be required to float as technician to different facilities. Candidate must complete a typing test, typing at least 30wpm. MINIMUM STARTING PAY: $12.05 Community Health Worker Liaison - Community Based Care This position is responsible for developing and maintaining communication and collaborative relationships between the Marion County Public Health Department (MCPHD) and the Chin community. This position requires good customer service skills in order to ensure that visitors / clients are treated in a courteous and polite manner. This position is responsible for providing outreach and follow-up of clients with services that might include, clients in need or prenatal care coordination, directly observed tuberculosis therapy, refugee medical status follow-up, and immunization services/appointments, assisting with Covering Kids, Wishard Advantage, HIP, etc. applications. This individual will assist with coordinating and / or arranging on site services such as dental Smile Mobile, Prostate Van, etc. Qualified candidates should be fluent in English, Burmese, and predominant Chin dialects, i.e., Haka, Falam, and Mizo. MINIMUM STARTING PAY: $14.86 Disease Intervention Specialist - Sexually Transmitted Disease Program This candidate will investigate reported, suspected and potential cases of STDs. Investigations include interviewing those infected with specific STDs, analyzing case information, interacting with health care providers, conducting computer record searches, contacting clients by phone and/or in person and documenting investigation on forms required by MCHD, ISDH and/or CDC. Interviews are for the purpose of providing health education and partner notification and are documented on forms required by MCHD, ISDH and/or CDC. DIS contributes significantly to the design of non-traditional interventions such as targeted screening programs. They troubleshoot activities within the STD program and are expected to fulfill any duty that is a necessary component of the STD control program prior to actual hiring of personnel. MINIMUM STARTING PAY: $13.13 Lead Environmental Health Specialist/Healthy Homes Specialist - Lead Safe Healthy Homes The EHS will be responsible for enforcing public safety codes in Marion County specifically with regards to lead-based paint hazards. The EHS must hold an Indiana Lead Inspector and Risk Assessor license or obtain one within six months of hire. This position will conduct lead inspections and risk assessments housing units as a pre-qualification tool for the grant program, provide a written report detailing the findings of such inspection and suggest corrective action where warranted, monitoring work done on the units, and conducting clearance examinations. As part of the grant Program, the EHS will conduct environmental assessments, issue repair orders, manage enforcement if repair orders are not followed, and provide community outreach and educational services for community and faith-based organizations. The EHS will also assist the Community Enrollment Liaison in conducting healthy homes assessments on homes under consideration for enrollment in the grant program. Qualified candidates should have a Bachelor's degree with a concentration in Environmental Health, Public Health or closely related area preferred. Minimum of two years of professional experience in department related code enforcement activities, or qualifying experience. Valid Indiana Drivers License and use of personal vehicle required.
