Legal Authority of the Corporation

Pursuant to Indiana Code 16-22-8-6, the Health and Hospital Corporation of Marion County is a municipal corporation with legal authority to:

• Sue or be sued in court.
• Enter into contracts.
• Acquire and dispose of property.
• Make and adopt ordinances, regulations, orders, rules and resolutions.
• Do all things reasonable or necessary to carry out the work and perform the corporation's duties.
