Child Victims of Incest and Sexual Abuse Support/Therapy Group

The number of children experience sexual abuse and incest is staggering. Many children tell no one of the abuse. Many victims are threatened with harsh repercussions by the offender. Many feel extraordinary shame; many want to protect family members; and many fear not being believed. An inappropriate response to a disclosure may be more harmful or damaging than the actual sexual abuse.

The devastating effects of incest and child sexual abuse may be lessened by early intervention. Having feelings honored and explored and experiences shared in a group of children with similar experiences can bring about powerful healing.
