Discovery Time After-School Program

Youth who have been victims or witnesses of traumatic events can often experience difficulties in learning and growth throughout their childhood. Without intervention, they often experience confusion, rage and sorrow.

The Discovery Time After-School Program, funded by Inland Foundation, is a safe, educational place for youth to learn and grow. Health and character education activities are provided as well as Good Touch/Bad Touch programs.

The goals of the program are:

• To provide a safe, educational environment after school for
  youth ages 5-12
• To emphasize trustworthiness, respect, fairness, caring and citizenship
• To increase youth awareness of child sexual abuse and body safety
• To empower youth by providing leadership
