Restorative Justice Conferencing

Victims of juvenile crimes often remain the hidden participants in the criminal courts due to the often-closed juvenile court system. These victims are no less harmed by juvenile offenders than they are by adult offenders. The often quick and confusing juvenile hearing may leave victims confused, powerless and frustrated when the offender seems to have "gotten away with it."

The Restorative Justice Conference gives the victim and his or her supporters an opportunity to express their sense of violation and harm, to question the offender and to learn about the incident. Victims also play a key role in deciding how the offender can make amends for the harm caused. For more information, call
