Safety Planning/Assistance in Securing Emergency Shelter

Family violence victims are often at their worst danger at the time they leave the violent relationship or afterwards. Of all women killed in domestic violence episodes--approximately 70% are killed as they attempt to leave the relationship or after they have left. Legacy House staff are trained to assist people in family violence situations to make safety plans for both when they return to the home and when they decide to leave the relationship.
