Violent Crime Compensation

Victims of all types of violence experience financial burdens as a result of the crime committed against them. All too often, the victims have unexpected expenses such as medical bills, loss of salary, therapy fees and funeral expenses.

The State of Indiana provides a fund to assist victims of violence with some unexpected expenses. The funds are supplied by convicted criminals who have been ordered by the courts to pay restitution to the fund. Legacy House will provide assistance to victims to apply for funds for qualified expenses from the Violent Crimes Compensation Fund. For more information, call 317.554.5272.
