Who We Serve

The children served by Project S.H.A.P.E. are those enrolled in community-based summer programs that have been selected based upon their location and service to children living in economically disadvantaged areas of Marion County, as reported by 2000 U.S. Census data.

These community-based programs may include summer day camps, HUD-funded housing communities or day care centers. It is not a requirement of these programs for the participating children to have complete health exams; therefore, Project S.H.A.P.E. is not duplicating services already required.
